Our Projects

Quick LifeLine

Sometimes, communities need quick interventions. Due to Gloria’s journalism past, she gets exposed to urgent social needs that happen around the country, and collaborates with media practitioners, social workers and good hearted people to quickly intervene with life threatening situations where official support from governments and bigger institutions may be slowed by bureaucracy.  These quick interventions have helped flood victims in Bereku, Volta Region Ghana go back to school, pregnant teenagers in Nandom, Northern Ghana find refuge and deliver safely, and supplied much needed medical interventions for people in the Upper East Region of Ghana

Girls and Boys Clubs

The Girls and Boys Clubs is an intentional intervention that seeks to give girls and boys positive world views; help shape their character and equip them with leadership skills and provide mentorship.

Two clubs for girls and boys respectively have been formed at the Langma DA Model School.

Adolescent Girls’ Sexual Reproductive Health Needs

Adolescents are at high risk in communities that Dignity Plus works in.

Children become sexually active sometimes from age ten (10). They have very little information about STDs and other vulnerabilities related to their sexual reproductive health.

In March 2019, Dignity Plus facilitated sexual reproductive health counselling and screening for vaginal infections for 85 girls from the Langma DA Model School.

Library Project

Libraries have a place in changing the worldview of children.

School libraries can be catalytic in the in the personal development of children, giving the children access to a trove of new knowledge and connecting them global possibilities.

Dignity Plus is championing the construction of the school library project of the Langma Community DC School, which has been abandoned for close to a decade.
