Gloria Acquah moved to Kokrobite with her family in 2013. The beautiful fishing community attracts lots of tourists from all over the world but the local people are poor. As one raised by a single mom, in peri-urban Ghana, Gloria knew at first hand what risks face young girls and boys in this beautiful community.<\/span><\/p>\n As her way of giving back, she decided to start Dignity Plus Foundation, an organisation that will be dedicated to helping some of the world\u2019s most vulnerable come out of poverty with dignity. As big as her dreams are, she knew she had to start small so her maiden project was to start a Girl\u2019s Club in Langma, another fishing village, right next to Kokrobite where she lives. The success of the Girl\u2019s Club motivated the boys in the school who came asking if she could help them start a club too.<\/span><\/p>\n Gloria has a Master\u2019s Degree in Human Resource Development and a Bachelor\u2019s in Educational Psychology.\u00a0 As an experienced educator and Special Needs Education professional, she\u2019s been committed to helping club members get the best professional interventions possible.<\/span><\/p>\n [\/la_heading][la_divider height=”lg:20px;”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/2″][la_divider height=”lg:65px;”][vc_tta_accordion c_icon=”” active_section=”1″][vc_tta_section title=”About Us” tab_id=”1504251166182-d8af323c-30f5″][vc_column_text]Dignity Plus Foundation (D+F) is a Ghana-based non profit organisation located in the tiny, rural fishing community of Kokrobite.
